I had my pedal steel and other gear stolen from my car 1/24 from the Funhouse in Seattle between 11:30 pm and 12:45 am. I know the chances are very slim that this will turn up via conventional means, so i'm hoping that with such a limited market for these instruments that it might turn up in someone on here's travels.
Sho-Bud LDG Pedal Steel Guitar, Serial #13617
Also stolen:
Fender '72 Telecaster Thinline RI w/ Bigsby
Furman SPB-8 Pedal Board
Electro Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb
Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff Pedal
Boss NS-2 Noise Supression Pedal
Boss DD-3 Digital Delay Pedal
Marshall ED-1 Edward The Compressor Pedal
Goodrick L120 Volume Pedal
Shure SM58 Microphone
Zoom H4 Handy Recorder
Boss TU-12 Tuner
Boss AB-2 2-Way Selector Swich
Oh, and my Motorola i730 Cell Phone
Reward gladly given if you can pass along information that might be able to get these back to me. Thanks for looking.

I saw you'd already posted on the Seattle craigs list with a list of the stolen items. I wonder if it wouldn't be better to not have that listing...it would certainly deter the thieves from using craigs list and that may be their first choice for selling...especially the smaller stuff.
So sorry...theives are the lowest life form.
I'll keep my eyes peeled. |

If your phone has a GPS chip in it, your carrier might be able to tell you where it is!

Are you the Jeremy I met a couple of weeks back at the Conor Byrne? I was filling in playing steel for The Honky Tonk Revue. I will keep eyes and ears open. Sure hope your valuables can be recovered. That's just plain awful. Best of luck.

I will keep an eye out for your gear here on Whidbey also. What a sorry way to treat someone trying to make a living.

You need to do the GPS thing before the phone battery runs down. The thieves may not recharge it for a while. |

Sorry to hear Jeremey. I would post on every guitar related forum I could find on the internet.
Also I think there is a Musician's stolen intrument website (sorry, I don't have the link).
You know all members on here will keep there eyes open.
Watch Ebay as well.
Hope you recover your gear.

Jeremy, really really sorry to hear that man. You must be ready to tear someone a new one, I would. I'll keep an eye out too.
When this happened to my buddy, he watched eBay and local Craigslists (inlcuding Spokane and Portland).
I'm sure you did, but be sure to file a police report with serials. Pawn shops are required to check the database before buying.
I know it works sometimes as I was in a pawn shop on Lake City Way when some stolen stuff came in. The owner delayed the guy selling the stuff till the cops came.
Hang in there. If you need to borrow anything, shoot me a email. I have an extra steel (actually a LDG), and amps you are more than welcome to use while you figure things out.

Ditto the Police Report. The serial numbers can be listed in NCIC so that if your steel shows up anywhere in the country and any agency runs the serial number, they will know it's stolen. This will also help if it's pawned in Chicago, or St. Louis, etc. |

jeremy, I had a sho-bud stolen from me on tour last july 4th in san fransisco. I was lucky enough to get it back! It wound up on ebay about a month or so after it happened. The guy said he found it at a flea market. All I can tell you is to keep your eyes on the internet, and check the local pawn shops and flea markets. Be patient, and dont give up. I had pretty much lost all faith and then one day I looked on ebay and there it was. The police didnt help. The people on this website did! |

Sorry Jeremy that is an awful thing. If you need to borrow instruments or odds 'n' ends to keep going send me an email.
My friend in North Seattle was broken into a few years back. His bass was sold out of a pawnshop up in Snohomish county on 99. I'd better not say which one, but it's just up the street from 164th.
I guess the deal was the police report only made it inside King County. I think if he had known that fact he could have expedited the process to notify other police districts. Something to consider.
Best of luck to you. |
