In our new location, we have the correct area to teach private lessons. This can and will be done on a availability basis. I, along with some of Nashvilles finest players will be doing our best to help all we can in learning to perform on this easy to play instrument!( well, it will be , the way we teach it!). Call for more info. Starting November 15th.

Bobbe: A good laugh and a smile is just what I needed. After four hours with the WWBP (World's Worst Bass Player), I needed something I could crack up over and thank you for making me chuckle before I try to go to sleep. If I wasn't so old, I'd come up there and try to get my picking right and I may just do that. Do I need to bring my Carter ?? Hope the new place fits you well and makes you a fortune.
Best Regards, Paul |

Availability? Since when did you become so in demand that you have to schedule life AND who are these instructors going to be, Jeff Newman, Lloyd Green, Buddy Emmons, Ed Naylor or Robert Rogers ? Fess up, Sizemour! |

Bobbe,
Is there any chance that Lloyd G. is going to be doing any teaching? If so, I sure want to schedule some time with him.

I trust that this means that within a short time we'll be hearing more intentional car/train wrecks on steel.

Hey, Bobbe, hoping to get by your new place to ogle -er, heckle, when Blueground is in Town this weekend. I would like to get a lesson from you- I need to learn that face you make when you use your vertical knee lever... If you can cut loose, I hope you can come by the Exit In Saturday night (17th) and heckle me back. It's Ok with the band if you bring Brandy.

I would bring Brandy but I always get charged double at the door when I take her anywhere. I don't know if she really likes all these jokes about her or not but if she doesn't, she puts up a good front.(or two)
Remember the joke about the two baldheaded men in the audience? I better leave her in Hendersonville, you guys are supposed to be doing the entertainment, not her!~

Hey People!! I visited Bobby's new location yesterday....wow!! it's pretty cool. Bobby took me through the store and workshop and showed me the Listening room and the rooms for the various steels. His staff was very friendly and courteous. While I was there Don Helms came in to pick up an old console Gibson double neck with no pedals, We talked for awhile and I told him his steel licks on Hank Sr's "Your Cheatin' Heart," and "Hey Good Lookin'", were the first steel tunes I learned on a Supro lap steel, (which is what he had in the photo with Hank and the Band). Don told me he cut those songs on a Gibson just like the one he was purchasing. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!!

Went to the store yesterday with a couple of friends. Bobbe has the store laid out with seperate rooms for each brand of steel. He has a great selection of guitars to look at and play. He even gave us a free lesson on his thumb picking and without any finger picks. I used the internet for driving directions to his new store address. Just look for the big red STOP sign for the realty company next to his showroom as there is only a Emmons sign on the building. Good luck with your new location Bobbe. |
