Hey Y'all,I just moved to Ardmore Oklahoma recently and am looking for some good live country music. All I've seen so far is live D.J.'s and Karaoke. Not really my thing. Oh Well

Kent, You might need to head over to Lawton/Comanche, and look uo Jim Harper, he's playing regular. Also, You are a couple hours out of Fort Forth. Go to Pearl's Dance Hll at the Stockyards area. Or maybe down to Thackerville to the Casino, they always have some big names. I know that ain't good news, but sign of the times. Check out the local music stores, they might know of some action locally.

Hey Kent, I don't know if it's still there, but around 32 years ago or so I lived in Cyril, OK for a few months and we played in Ardmore six nights a week at a place called the "Five O'Clock Club". The bass player and I drove around a hundred miles each direction to play there. There used to be a guy named "Tee" Rains who was a good singer and a young guy under thirty but didn't have a tooth in his head... That was a nice place in those days! Being from SoCal I just couldn't get used to going to a place where you brought your own bottle of booze in and they'd sell you setups, kinda like buying your own booze.... strange laws in that part of the country then......JH in Va.

Haven't heard of the 5 O'Clock Club. I don't think it exists anymore. Laughing Don't know if I'd want to try that place out the way it sounds.

Might have to go to Denison. Thanks for the invite. Smile
