HOW CAN I PAD MY KNEE LEVERS??
MY KNEE LEVERS CUT INTO MY LEGS WHEN I PLAY AT OUR LOCAL NUDIST CAMP. |

Jim, use the fuzzy part of the velcro. Adhesive backed .
Use the real "Velcro" brand, it's better quality.
I did it on the rather skinny levers on my guitar, and they feel fine now.
Be sure to clean the levers with rubbing alcohol before you apply them, for better adhesion.
And whatever you do, please don't send me any pic's of your "gigs".

There's some firm-yet-flexible foam tubing available at assisted-living places that slips right on to straight levers, like Carter's. Any big drugstore will have it in their old/crippled section - it's used on spoons, forks, pencils, handrails... I ended up building up my inside-knee calluses eventually but I still keep some of this stuff around, it's great for fitting odd-sized guitars into universal cases, mounting behind pickups, whacking the cats etc.

Frenchey used to sell these wide padded things that you just slipped on the lever,had a little wingnut to tighten them,on and off real easy.DYKBC.

| It depends on how big your levers are. Cut the fingers off a rubber glove and stretch them over the levers. (I was going to suggest putting a condom on each of the levers, but that would be too corny ) |

...if not you may have found the ultimate answer to what does a pedal steel player use to work the extra "knee" levers.
Of course, he couldn't get too excited while playing or he might find the knee levers working when he doesn't want them to...

| Cut a broom handle in half (lengthwise) then cut some pieces to lenght and attach (how is up to you)to the levers. Then the levers will be rounded where yo press on them. Has anyone tried widened levers so you could sit a little further back from the steel and if so did it work? |
