Hey Gang,
Just a reminder that the NTSGA January Jam is coming up Jan. 8th at the Hotel Preston. Show time starts at 7 PM and features Steel Guitar Legend Walter Haynes on the first set. Doyle Grissom and his family band with special guest Drew Covington on the second set. The third artist is my friend Buck Reid.
Come on out for great picking, some grinning and as always a good time.
The show will be in the "Pink Slip" lounge instead of the great hall like the last Oct. Super Jam so it will be more intimate.

Sounds like it will be a great evening of Steel Guitar music. Would love to see my friend Doyle Grisham. He has been a dear friend of mine since 1963 when we played music down in Temple Texas, Shorty

Doyle is GREAT!! I've had the pleasure of working a few parrott-head parties with him, this pic includes TC Mitchell (Buffett's former sax player)

Hey Cookie,

New Year, NEW Venue! Looks like it's going to be a SUPER SUPER Jam.

Everyone make plans to be there!

Bob Smile Smile

BTW Lil' brother Junior, Doyle was a first for me also. He's the first Pedal Steel player I ever saw in person. He was working with Eddie McDuff at The "Big D Jamboree" in the early 60s. Very Happy

First off I would like to thanks everyone that showed up. We had a small crowd but, one that was very much into what was going on. Next my thanks to the performers, Billy Robinson, great show as usual, Robert Roger who did a great job filling in. Drew Covington who showed his mastery of the fiddle and steel and Doyle Grissham. IT was nice to hear "1982" played like it was recorded. Thanks to my buddies, Mike Sweeney and Rusty Danmeyer for their great playing. It was a pleasure to share the stage with you guys, I loved all the shuffles that we did. A very special thanks to the back up band, Drew Covington, Walt Cunnigham, Earl Erb, Rick Vanugh and Dennis Crouch ( of the Time Jumpers) and Jan Jones. You guys made it easy to have a great time and just play. Thanks also to my long time friend and great singer Rob Parker for singing with us. If you missed this one you missed a great show. See you again in April when we have another jam coming up.

Mike, maybe you meant up to "bar" instead of par. I thought you sounded great.
