Does anybody here have some good advice for a good (and small) practice Amp that's got drum beats, etc? Thanks |

Get a Peavey Nashville 112, plug a cd player in the back and play along with tracks through the speaker or headphones, which does shut off the speaker.

Jim, small... I've got the Nashville 112 and its too heavy to carry around. I'm looking for a miracle with a drum beat in the form of a micro-cube. |

The Fender G-DEC sounds about right-- 16 lbs...drum rhythms, and a bunch more bells & whistles. |

I read about that digitech pedal and some say it's easy to program and others say it's hard. Do you have personal experience with it? I'm no good whatsoever with hi-tech stuff. |

I have the RP50, it is very simple, very cheap, and has some really nice drum sounds built in with lotsa patterns. The presets are cool, I only use it for an auto-wah sound when we do Dirty Business, but it can be adjusted fairly easily. You could get one from Guitar Center and try it for a couple of days. It really does sound pretty good for not much bucks. JP _________________ Carter,PV,Fender |

Just what I wanted...choices. But now I'm getting confused. Maybe the best thing to do is go to Guitar Center and see what-all they have and the things you guys have suggested and decide between them all.
I have a very nice drum machine that's too high tech for me to even get one beat going. The manual is worthless. It's been very disappointing because it looks like it's probably made especially for a computer technician that happens to play guitar. Maddening. |

The rp50 just has a button you push, turns on the drums. Push another button, changes the patterns. Push anothe, changes the tempo. GC is a great idea. JP _________________ Carter,PV,Fender |
