Marcel,
Thank you so much for posting those clips. That's been more than 13 years ago. Brings back a lot of great memories.
Wanda Vick is the world class fiddle player. Wanda and I work together quite frequently and will be in the new band along with some original bandmates for a new Crook&Chase television show on RFD channel to begin airing mid January. Buddy Skipper will once again lead the band! We are all very excited about this venture. |

Wanda Vick can play anything she puts her hands on, and well too.
She's a very nice person, and very unassuming.
She's doing great, and staying busy for sure.
I installed some cabinets in her house about year ago. |

Marcel, Thanks for the post.Tommy thanks for the good news. One of so many reasons I love Tommy White's playing. He alway swings for the fence. No matter where he's playing. It don't get any tougher than live TV. He's da man..... |

I thought that was Jenee Keener on fiddle. But, the last time I saw Jenee was at the Dallas steel show and she was about 19 years old. This lady looks just like her, but a bit older.
I just noticed Tommy White's reply. Duh| to me. |

Tommy correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me that on fast licks I've noticed that you tend to use your thumb and second finger and rarely your first. |

Dick,
At the time of those TV tapings I was having a bout with what I thought was carpel tunnel syndrome and did play mostly with the thumb and middle finger, only to find out later, that technique was making the problem worse. I've since then tried not to rely on my middle finger so much and try to play descending patterns starting with the index finger, as to relieve some of the stress to a bruised medial nerve. All is fine now and I continue to stay aware of trying to use both fingers. |

Tommy, I just don't know how you do it, I guess it's lots of practice and massive talent. Marcel, I remember playing guitar with you at a jam session at the Irish festival, I wish I had your knowledge of songs, thank god Derek Thurlby was there to call out the numbers. All the best to you buddy.
Very best regards
Mark |

Tommy, Great job; once again; Congratulations on being put to work with Wanda on Crook and Chase's New Show coming soon to RFD Channel. Didn't Wanda work with you on The Prime Time Country Show which Gary Chapman did a few years ago? I love that Gal's talent; see her a few times on Bill Gathiers' Gospel Show. The two of you being on that new show; I'll surely be looking to catch it.. Keep up the great pickin', Tommy. Bernie,
Thank you! Yes, Wanda and I worked together our entire tenure at TNN. I will be looking forward to hearing and working with Wanda once again on a more frequent basis. You know, Wanda plays pedal steel too! |

WOW! What can you say about a great steel player and fine gentleman? I would like to say that even though this fine musician works for my brother in law, his talents are not utilized to its finest! I believe after hearing many from my point of view and mine only, I believe he is the best there is at this point and time and has been for a long time. Like I said for my taste, he just knocks me out. There are truly many great steel players out there, from the fifties till present, but one thing about Tommy among others, he feels and plays with his heart and takes this great musical instrument to new heights as only a few can do. I like so many players out there and everyone has there own style and taste and do it very well! Tommy and Herby Wallace just happen to be the two that I like the most! Just an opinion and this is not meant to start a war of favorites on here, just an opinion as well as I am sure you have your favorites! Thanks for reading!
