I am looking for a single 1960's - early 70's 8 string Stringmaster non-pedal w/case in very good condition. Mint would be great if available. Ill pay a fair price. This is probably a model 800 I am looking for but these have become more commonly called "Stringmasters" of late.
Thanks

Still looking for a single Fender Deluxe 8 24 1/2 (more commonly called a Stringmaster for some reason, because its half of a real Stringmaster I guess).
Alllllmoost found one (I know - hand grenades...) but seller is going to hang on to it for now. Wonder if there will be any for sale in Dallas?

That completely explains how rare 24 1/2 Deluxe 8's are. Does not get any rarer than non-existant. How about a 22 1/2 then. I have passed up several looking for this longer version.
Thanks for the info.

Still looking for a Single 8 Stringmaster any vintage in excellent to mint condition. I know there are a few pedal players who have these in the closet and hardly play them anymore so heres a chance to get a fair price without dealing with eBay!
Thanks
Whit

What's the current value of a white/cream one with a case and legs in good condition?

Whit,
I'm not quite sure of what you are looking for but I am going to send you a couple of pictures of a Fender 26" scale single Stringmaster that started out life as a double neck in 1954. I have it pretty well completed and am waiting on a tweed case from Wade Thomas.

You know that is a Japanese replica and they sure do look nice and they can make nice guitars. A little pricey. I showed this page to my local used guitar dealer a couple of weeks ago who has a contact in Japan who is also looking for me. I would'nt mind a brand new Japanese one at all.
I don't understand why the music stores in Japan sell Jazzmasters and Jaguars all day long on eBay but you will never see a Stringmaster.
