Great amp for steel and guitar. Just serviced in my shop. Cleaned pots, tested all electrolytic caps (all excellent), replaced aux speaker jack, replaced internal fuse holder and power/load tested with scope, signal generator and resistor load bank. Reverb cables were tested and re-tensioned at the Molex connector.

Amp has a 1501-4SB speaker and can run another 4 ohm speaker (2 ohm load). Delivers 160 watts RMS at 4 ohm internal load or a 2 ohm total load. Just get another extension cab and you are set for a huge sound!

Guitar channel has the "Saturation" circuit for a nice crunch or overdrive tone for guitar or steel. The second channel is set up like a Nashville 400 or Vegas 400 steel channel.

It does not have the foot-switch with the amp. Both channels are active, just turn up the one you want to use. The foot-switch is a Peavey standard using a DIN type connector. I see them on eBay occasionally.

I am replacing the foot-switch jack with a new 6 pin connector, as it has some cracked plastic in it. That part will be here tomorrow.

$375.00 shipped to the lower 48. PayPal OK.

Hey guys, these 115's are rare and Ken has already gone through this one. I've had one in the past, and wish I still did. The clean channel has the Paramid knob, just like the Nashvilles. Just set the Para to -5, and the freq. shift to about 800, and you have a great sounding steel amp! Not to mention the overdrive channel for some really good distortion!

Great deal here!

Oh, and here's the manual for it. (download the middle one) It shows a 212 speaker version, but the controls and schematic are the same.

I saw in an earlier post in electronics that Mike Brown had stated they made a few of these with the 15" speaker. This one shows that it is a Renown 2-12 on the ID tag. You could not change the speaker baffle in this type cabinet so it is an original cabinet.

Great amp, super looking condition and tone to the bone!

These were great amplifiers in their day, and they still are today, perhaps even more so. These old Peavey amps were very reliable and real work horses for just about anything you plugged into them.

Another thing I really liked about these vintage amps was the 120 Volt accessory plug on the back. Unfortunately, this is something you don't see much of anymore these days. A small thing perhaps, but it sure was a very convenient accessory to have.

The price Ken has on this one is way more than fair!

Ken; I have the nashville 400 that has one of your chips in it and it sounds great how does this amp compare to that and does it have one of these "chips" in it and how does that change the sound

No mods on this amp. I think it has a nice sound and a smooth midrange. More of a Vegas 400 sounding amp to my ear.

Hi Ken, I just bought a NV 112 from Muscian Friend. When I first plugged it in, it started crckling and popping. Thought it might have been my guitar or Match Box. Unplugg them, but it still done it. Changed where I had it plugged in, same. Then I plugged it into my surge protector for my computer, it didn't do it. I then plugged it into another outlet, worked fine, but it has no drive. The Pre-Gain is set on 6 and the Master gain is on 8.5. It has volume, but at that setting not what I think it should. I should have set it back, but my 45 days is up. What do you think? I'm playing a MSA Semi-Classic. Should I send it Peavey? Thanks for any advice. I bought it for it's weight and just for home. I don't play out anywhere. I just want it to work like it should. Thanks, Jim Reynolds

Jim, I believe the Peavey Nashville 112 has a 5 year factory warranty on it, so I would suggest sending it to the Peavey Service Center for repairs. Musicians Friend doesn't have an authorized repair facility, and the people employed there,(from what I have personally seen and heard) know very little to nothing about the products they sell. On the other hand, Peavey will personally stand behind thier products, and most all authorized Peavey store-front dealers will handle transactions and problems such as this for you.

In any event, Jim, just an F.Y.I. here for you in an effort to help with your problem.

I agree with Danny, send it in for repair to Peavey. They do a great job! I would ask, but I bet you can send just the chassis to them. Don't use UPS!! Just got in a "finely hammered" Fender Twin Reverb by UPS this week. Just another fine example of their fine "drop shipping"!! The face plate was bent, the chassis was pushed in on the transformer end, chassis was warped by the transformer weight pulling on it during or right after the long drop.

You can just send the chassis. That is what Mike Brown told me to do with my Session 500.
