Maybe Tom Killen? He has played with George for years now.

Kind Regards, Walter

Could be Tom Killen. He started playin' steel for George in the eighties. Pete Drake played on some of George's records.

That is Bruce Bouton. When I first saw George, Sonny Curtis was playing steel and Paycheck was on bass

It's not Tom Killon, I don't think the band was Georges band, Johnny Gimble was playing fiddle, I did not recognise the rest of the band members

That's not Bruce Bouton... It is George's band I think, and Johnny Gimble is on a LOT of ACL shows.

I've gotta trust Mr. Hinson on this one given his history, I was hoping he'd chime in...

So, Steve, what year would you say? Early to mid 80's maybe...? What years were you playing guitar, late 80's, early 90's?

The steel sounds great, George sounds fantastic, and as usual on ACL the cameramen DO have a clue.

Great clip, thanks Uffe.

Pete,Tom Killen started with GJ about mid-1981(I think),so that episode of ACL had to be taped before then...I played guitar with GJ for 3 years(late'86-late'89)...we taped ACL during that time but I can't remember which year.
