Unfortunately nothing...

You should buy a DD-3 or DD-6 and a RV-5.

Otherwise find a used RV-3.

Exactly John, why quit making a winner. I never leave for a gig without mine. I managed to get a spare one too Smile You may remember Kevin Bartholomew from Newbury way??? he had to wait for ages to get a used one. The best setting has already been discussed on this forum, with the best sound with the 3rd control set to #7 that's a delay/reverb setting and the other controls set accordingly.

I've been using the current BOSS Delay, DD-6 for about a year and I love it... for both steel and guitar. No reverb, just delay. The tap function is very handy. As the song is playing, just stomp three times on the pedal to sync the repeats to the music. It's really handy for playing "Albert Lee style" repeats when speedpicking, or for slower repeats. I won't play a gig without it now.

I bought a used RV-3 a couple of years ago, and I didn't like it. I felt very limited by the preset mixes of reverb and delay. I need to be able to separate the reverb from the delay, and mix each independently, and the RV-3 does not allow for that.

This one is on US E Bay John,
They show up from time to time on UK E bay too for about £45-£60
I did'nt like it too much,I found the reverb along with delay pretty awful and ended up using delay only.
I now use a T.C.Electronic Delay(£175)much more controllable when you can see the time settings in digital readout.
To each his own,
My opinion only
Good luck

I have a bunch of delay boxes here. The only one I use now is the El-Cheapo Guyatone MD-3, used on ebay for $75. It has the warmest and smoothest delay I've ever heard next to the old Ibnaez original analog delay. It's paired with an RV-5, my favorite reverb, even over the Lexicon MPX-1. That was another $110 used on ebay . Better quality effects and more adjustments than the RV-3 in my opinion.

There is a company that is making an almost direct copy of the RV-3 right now. I have one on order...they are expected to ship out sometime in Jan.

As soon as I get mine & compare it to my RV-3, I'll post more about it. These are cheaper priced & from a fairly reputable company.

I'm pretty excited & tired of waiting for it to ship.

You have the quality of price...

Surely not the same quality as Boss or other Brand. I never tried the Behringer product.

Hi Casey, the layout of the Behringer looks identical to the Boss. Give us a report when you've checked it out, especially on the #7 setting reverb/delay which most of us use on the RV3.

Hey Jay, Thanks for pointing that out....I was kinda wondering with that "tap delay" .... I'll probably stick to Boss products. I know some people who have bought Behringher products, and they've gone "Kaput" Very Happy

Perhaps so Lee, but I've never seen the Behringer stomp pedals before, I've only seen some of their powered mixers, but it's not a snob in me but they looked quite Fragile Surprised

I haven't had any dealings with Behringer stop boxes, how ever my wife has been playing bass through a Behinger bass amp for about 2 1/2 yrs. now with no problems, has been very gig worthy. We also have a 32 channell Behringer mixing board that stays in our music studio that has been very dependable so far.

I don't think I would be afraid of any Beheringer products. JMO of course,

Larry
