Thad Cockrell and the Starlite Country Band, in which I play steel, are coming to Nashville next Thursday and Friday 9/13 & 9/14. We're playing a kick off party for the Americana Music Association convention at the Station Inn on Thursday night, and then we have a gig downtown on Friday. I'm soliciting recommendations for decent but not pricey hotel accomodations where we can get a couple of rooms while we're in town. I don't know the lay of the land, but would like to be central to where we'll be playing. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Cliff, two years ago you could not spell pedal steel and now you are on your way to Nashville. How does this work?

Try the Shoney's on Music Row (a couple of blocks from the Station Inn)
Usually around $70, clean place, nice people. I stay there a couple of times a year. |

Like Mike said, I stayed in a Motel 6 on West Trinity Lane (311 West Trinity lane to be exact) off 24/65 at exit 87. Bonus is Jack's BBQ right across the street. Nothing fancy but the price was right (about $32)
