Anybody using compensators on their 3rd and 6th string E9 tuning to nudge them up a little when using the A pedal and F knee lever. Or maybe just on the 6th, if so do you have them on the A pedal or F lever. |

From memory, before I abandoned the plain sixth string and went to a wound, I had a compensator, activated by the A pedal.
I went to a wound sixth, and slightly altered my tuning technique, so now I don't need compensators at all. |

I put a compensator on my A pedal to raise string 6 a smidgeon to help counter the effect of cabinet drop. I prefer an unwound 6th string. |

The way I tune my guitar, the 3rd and 6th strings don't need compensators on the A pedal. |

Nothing fancy in the way I tune. It's somewhere between ET and JI. The thirds aren't as flat as they would be with JI, but they're not "straight up" as with ET. When I'm done, the C#'s sound just fine with the G#'s. No beats. |

I have been happy w/ the F# comp. (for both 7 & 1 string),on the A pedal. I added a 6th string G# comp to the F lever since the only time it is an issue is when the F along with A are active. But it only needs a fraction of adjustment, and not all the time.
On my Carters, My D-10 yes most of the time.
SD-10 only sometimes.
Sho~Bud Super pro It's there but inactive.
Emmons pp S-10 Yes and very nesessary
Emmons pp D-10 wouldn't even know where to put it, there's so much going on.
