I was at that show. It was the last night of the Last of The Breed tour with Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Asleep at the Wheel. I believe that Mike's amp was a solid state Standel. Lovely tone! Perhaps Mike could confirm which Standel.

Kevin, I didnt see the y/t thing but if it was on the Willie/Ray/Merle tour,I was using a mid-60's Standel Custom 15 solid-state amp w/a reconed JBL D-130 spkr. I got the amp from Bryan Adams and the speaker from JD Maness. I originally gave the amp to Big E when I was amp poor,then it later crapped out on him so I took it to Woody Woodell to fix it.
E happened to be amp poor and at that time and told me to hang onto it for a spare just in case I needed it. I used it 1 night and its been under the bus ever since. Looking for another one... |
