Billy Phelps and his psg are NOW in EUROPE:

Countries in which he is scheduled to perform on this tour:

France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland!
!!

Here's the schedule for the July 27 - August 23 tour.

As many of you have said, Billy is an extremely talented and unique pedal steel guitarist, along with being a genuinely nice guy

If you have a chance to go hear and watch him play, we highly recommend it!

He loves meeting and visiting with people, so please feel free to go introduce yourself if there is time.

He also welcomes you to play his Carter with BCT Technology if there's time to do so.

I noticed the link said that Brian Sklar and his band (including Billy) would be recording 4 albums while on this tour! Who the heck records 4 albums at one time??

Anyway, you European steelers ought to make a point to go hear Billy. He's wonderful.

For Ann Fabian.....I've been looking for rhythm tracks to add to my collection (I keep my chops up this way in between gospel gigs and steel shows) and Roy Rosetta told me that Billy Phelps has a bunch of them, and that you have Billy's phone # and address. Would you please either post it, or send it via e-mail. My e-mail address is: hsteeler2002@yahoo.com Thanks

Billy Phelps' email address is here on this page, Mr. Higgins:

Since he's on tour, it may be a couple weeks until you hear back from him . . . he also plans to play again in our booth at St. Louis this year, btw ... monster picker!

And, Billy Phelps' MANY great rhythm tracks will be for sale again at the Full Circle Sound booth at St. Louis this year as well, just down the hall from the Carter Steel Guitars' booth (toward the escalators).

Thanks Ann....I sure do appreciate your reply. I wish I were able to be at the St. Louis Show......I've been once, but it was many years ago.....but would like Billy's rhythm tracks to keep up the chops and even learn some new stuff........

Roger......thanks.....Roy Rosetta was telling me last week that they were really good.....I do a lot of stuff, including recording, with rhythm tracks (with permission of course) part of my last cd was done that way....I find that it's a good way to get a product out when you don't have access to some good musicians who know the music and the availability of the same. I haven't heard them or even ordered them yet, because Billy is out of the country at the moment....but have his e-mail address (thanks to Ann)and will be getting in touch with him soon.

We shared stage today.
Billy is hot, he smokes!!!
Forumites, go visit Billy and his band, as soon and as often as you can, you won't regret!
A lot of fast picking, Buck Owens-stuff and RayPrice-shuffles. Besides that, Billy is a very friendly and warm person!
Go, and enjoy!! Johan
