Debbie Williams, a longtime Frederick, MD local celebrity has organized a reunion of a bunch of country bands that played in the Frederick area in the 70's and 80's. I'm not sure of who all will be there but I know it will include The Countrymen, HoneyWagon (in which I played), and I think Allen Brown and the Wishing Well. I Imagine that Sonny Purdum and Buddy Griffin will be there on steel as well as a very out of practice yours truly.
It will be on Friday evening, August 24 and I believe it's at the Frederick Elks' Club. Tickets are $10 and proceeds all go to the Christmas Cash for Kids program.
