I bought this on ebay,It was listed as being a carter which it obviously is not.
Anyway,Its a great sounding steel and I would realy like to know who made it,..It once had decals on it so I assume it is factory made.
Please take a few minutes and copy /paste the link
for pics.http://s217.photobucket.com/albums/cc242/carlheat1962/Unknown%20Steel/
Any info will be much appreciated.
Thanks Carl.

It looks like it has Emmons PP parts (pedals, pickup, changer and possibly keyhead). |

Hi Tony,
It is very Emmons"ish,I have searched the internet for pics of any similar steels,I think the design
around the changer and in front of the pickup is very distinctive and would be easy to identify....no luck so far. |

Pedals do not seem like Emmons pedals upon closer scrutiny.
Is this a some type of pull-release type changer? It's hard to tell w/o seeing the actual changer fingers. |

Looks homeshop to me, maybe an attempt to copy the old MSA changer.Maybe parts from different steels.

The picture that Bill posted is not the same guitar as the original post. Not sure why he put that one up....

the brackets that hold the changer looks MSA.
The end adjusting holes are made like Emmons.
I think it is a well homemade job. |
