I would like to know if anyone can name some songs that feature someone whistling. Like Charlies Shoes-Billy Walker or Ribbon of Darkness-Marty Robbins. I need to know several for a joke
Thanks

Singin' the Blues, Guy Mitchell. Wasn't whistling a big thing with Mitch Miller as well? |

Big Noise from Winnetka, Bob Crosby and the Bob Cats. Of course, Bob was Bing's youngest brother, and a fine band leader in his own right. |

Gordon Lightfoot's Ribbon of Darkness
And there's also a hit from the 50's The Happy Whistler performed by "Don Robertson" ... all whistling as I recall. . I wonder if that's the same Don Robertson who wrote I Don't Hurt Anymore, I Really Don't Want to Know, You're Free To Go, Please Help Me I'm Falling, etc |

There is a song on this album called "The Merry Minuete" pretty funny, whistling between each line on the verses.

Kenny Holycross has that on an instrumental CD and has been doing it at steel shows recently. Pretty cool. _________________ HagFan

Just thought of another.
It's a Roger Miller song, called "England swings" featuring twin harmony whistling parts. |
