Hi guys.
I'm looking for a Sho-Bud replacement fretboard in white, 24" scale, for a pro III. I know there are various suppliers, but any hands on experiences regarding the quality, ease of application and above all accuracy of the available boards would be much appreciated. The thicker the board the better.
Thanks
Barry

Barry, John Coop is the man, when my Sho-Bud was "resurrected" as you saw on this forum some months back, John donated one to me. His fretboarts are quite thick and just like the original. Re application, Dave Langdon who did the rebuild just glued it onto the bare wood, but in your case you'll just have to remove the old one then smooth the surface before glueing the new one on. Years ago a friend of mine in the States made a metal one for me, and all I did was use double sided tape on it to the original so I could change back and forth as I pleased. That worked perfectly Smile

Thanks Mickey, I'll get all the info I can, but it seems like Mr Coop is 'de man'. Does Ricky make fretboards I wonder.

Barry

To my mind, black fingerboards look better in most cases, and they can also be bought from Bobbe Seymour.
