At this very moment, Buzz is on his way from Las Vegas to the Austin, Texas area. The Austin area musical community is very fortunate.
More info to follow. _________________ Patrick Goodbla

Scotty....
I was thinking the same thing. Let's coordinate so I can see one of your monster drives.
It would be good to make Gloria Miers' event in Wichita Falls too.
When you can, send me your cell number. _________________ Patrick Goodbla

Ha,that's great. I talked to Buzz in Dallas in March and he told me he was coming to Texas. Either San Antonio or Austin. I told him he needed to go to Austin to help "keep Austin weird" as their motto says. He'd fit right in Of course he wouldn't to too bad on the San Antonio River Walk or Feista Texas either I hope Austin treats him well. Don. _________________ GFI D10-8/6 Black/Red

Las Vegas' loss is Texas' gain.
Great guy, great player.
Love to watch and listen to his playing. So different. A whole new approach to how things are played.
I still love his version of "My Mother's Eyes"....... _________________ Ray Harrison

I've always admired Buzz and his playing, he's extremely talented. However the wife & me were pretty disappointed about his performance at the St. Louis Convention this year. Instead of using Bobby Caldwell's live band to play with, Buzz chose to use accompanyment tracks. To me, this took away from the show. But it did give me an opportunity to visit the vendor booth's. Nick,
I'm surprised by your comments, since Buzz is known to be the ultimate entertainer wherever he performs. Buzz is originally from New England and his fans number in the thousands. |

Aw, I meant St.Louis instead of Dallas. You're right Nick. After hearing the mighty house band all day Buzz's rhythm tracks did seem a bit empty. That's the way he does all his shows though. I first saw him in Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience and he was using the tracks then too. I love his "Pink Panther" arrangement. Never heard anyone else do it. |

I would not miss a chance to see Buzz play, with or without a live band. I can't imagine being disappointed about his performance, even if he played with no accompaniment. |

Buzz was the first musician I met 3 years ago when I moved here from Florida. Over the last few years I have gotten to know the man pretty well. I personally will miss watching him play, which i did on a regular basis. He is one incredibly knowledgable player, and it has been a great privelege for me to have become friends with him. Buzz if you ever see this, we wish you all the best. Please send us a phone number when you and Ross get settled....Your friend...Mickey Adams _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Hey Barry,
Bruce is definitely not a Yankee (unless you consider Virginia northern). |

Dan, correct this if it's wrong, but a Google search tells me,
"Bruce Bouton
A native of Washington, DC, Bruce began playing pedal steel in 1973 when he was a student at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Within a year he was playing with the Good Humor Band. In 1978 he moved to Nashville and started playing with Dottie West when she was touring with Kenny Rogers. Since then he’s played with artists including Lacy J. Dalton, Ricky Skaggs, Kathy Mattea, Mel Tillis, Foster & Lloyd, and Shania Twain. Songs he’s written or co-written have been recorded by T. Graham Brown, Garth Brooks, Mark Collie, and Brooks & Dunn." |

Although Bruce is from the Washington DC area (a city described as combining Southern efficiency with Northern charm), I believe he's actually from the Virginia side. And most Virginians would bridle at the term Yankee. As would Marylanders (even though they were technically Yankees in the civil war). |
