I was listening to some Steel guitar greats the other day and one thing I noticed is how soulful they can make there own signature sound be.

I think one important ingredient that these guys are able to control there tempo.(among other things)

A slow steel will have a dramtic effect on things.

I all to often speed through a slow song, and honestly that is how I learn, but when I slow down a bit and yes I have to discipline myself, things start to change.

Sometimes slowing down a little soul can be added.

Now if you can just recruit a like-minded drummer and bass player, you're set Exclamation Faster and louder is not necessarily better.
