Hey Paul,
I have one of these brochures, too. My girlfriend, now my wife, got it for me at a Twitty concert in Memphis in 1987(I THINK). It is signed by Mr. John Hughey himself. She had a pass to go backstage and she met John and went into a lengthy story (She is kinda chatty) with him of how her boyfriend plays a Sho-Bud and how she thought he (me) was quite good.
Anyhoo, John reached into his Pac-a-seat and retrieved the brochure and a pen. He signed it and told her that I should call him for a quote on a JCH.
I sure wish I had done that.

Mine is a 89' SD10 black. I met John about 4 years ago and he told me built the cabinet of my guitar so, I was tickled that he and Jimmie built my guitar. I've had several guitars but, my JCH fits me like a glove and it plays and sounds great.(not because I'm playing it) I love it. I also have the same brochure.

I dont know if the serial numbers go by the amount of guitars built but mine is an 81 and it's serieal is 1051. if so They built a bunch of them but my guess is not. Just dont see a lot of them. I'ld buy another one if I could find it.

"JCH" - great guitars, great tone, and two really great friends. I will miss them both very much.

The JCH was the guitar John Hughey used on the Vince Gill recording of "Look At Us". Jimmie was as proud as a peacock everytime he heard that song being played.

Hey Paul, where is Don Kates these days? Does he still play? I took his place when he left a band down here in the early 80's. I had not heard that name in a long time!
