Campbell Brothers Tour Schedule
Chuck says if there is time, you are welcome to come on up and try out his Carter.

I just read further on the same site to find these truly wonderful comments about The Campbell Brothers and their pedal steel guitarist, Chuck Campbell, in the Biography section of www.folkloreproductions.com:
quote:
"Best U.S. Gospel Instrumentalists of the Year," Fourth Annual Real Blues Awards, 1997
Critics are raving about the group's debut album, Pass Me Not, Arhoolie CD 461:
"This man (Chuck) is the Jimi Hendrix and the Django Reinhardt of the steel guitar...this CD is bound to be an award winner and possibly the biggest seller Arhoolie's ever had. Six halleleujas for a mandatory purchase."---Andy Grigg, Real Blues
"...Chuck steals the show with his pedal steel. The instrument's extra strings, pedals and levers open up a universe of sounds that simply can't be reached on any other kind of guitar, and this man is a master...(Katie's) vocal presence serves to reinforce the long-held notion that the best singers are still in church."---Jim DeKoster, Living Blues

I am going to be there for the dates on 7/21 and 7/22. You can play my Franklin if you want
Seriously, you guys do not want to miss this. My 12 year old daughter Emily says they are the best band in the world (better than the Backstreet Boys). And she also says that Carlton is the best drummer out there. When was the last time you guys heard a 12 year old girl rave about a band with 3 steel players?
