That rendition of 'The Christmas Song" is one of the best I've ever heard, Greg. It's really a beautiful arrangement. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

That's some beautiful playing, Greg. Nice touch and tone, plus great use of the Dobro's open strings.

I'll second that... I was just listening to it while continuing to browse the Forum, just to realize I couldn't read because my mind was captivated by this rendition and I couldn't concentrate on anything else.

WOW! OK...I've gotta ask:
How in the world are you getting those fat jazzy chords on The Christmas Song, and the minor chords in Here/There---using standard Dobro tuning?!
Every time I tune to a Maj chord, I just get blues sounds, and nothing very exciting at that! _________________ OK...I'm gonna try and tune this thing...again! |

John,I think Greg uses a standard G tuning but tunes his low string to an E...watching him play those passing chords was a trip,I just had to laugh. He also builds giant log cabin homes. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... Thanks for all the wonderful comments, I hope someday to be able to record a cd or two, not to make money (no chance of that) but just to keep the creative passion alive. Learning the dobro has been a quest an an inspiration for me these last 2 years. My name is Greg and I'm a Reso-holic......... _________________ Greg

Well, Greg, count on my money for any CD you release! "Hang 'em High" on your myspace is amazing too! You're up there with the best of them IMHO.
Thanks for this music!
