I was reading the topic about who is playing in San Antino. Several years ago I was on a hunting trip and stopped in at the Cherry Springs dance hall, thats between Fredericksburg and Mason Tx. As soon as I walked in I could here the steel warming-up. I told my wife, this guy can play. Well-- I was right. Boys and girls Mr. Edgington is a great player. I also herd him play in Dallas in 1996 I think. If you get the chance to catch Roger Edgington play, I think you will agree. |

I have had the pleasure of singing with Roger a couple of times at St. Louis in the side rooms and it is such a thrill to have a player of his quality and taste backing you up.

Wow guys. I really appreciate the kind words. I'm still with that Billy Mata guy. About 14 years now. It has been fun to work this long with the same fine musicians.Roger |

I too am proud to call Roger my friend. We first met at Quihi, Tx Dec 2001. Since then , I've had the honor to locate and affect a reunion with Roger and his illegitimate son. It was quite a touching moment...one of the best kept secrets. I get them together as often as possible and he's a true chip off the old block.....an awesome steel player in his own right. This genetics thing is downright amazing. |

Don't believe everything my good friend Larry says about my "son". I don't have a son , but if I did I would hope he would be just like Steve Matlock. |

Roger, you know I love every note you play. I'll be heading for TX about the middle of Jan. I'll be watching the Mata calender. I'm hoping to be in Katy for the Feb. show, and for sure, I'll see you in Dallas in March. Your friend, Dale |

Billy Mata's CDs are awesome and Roger plays wonderful on each of them. On the latest CD he even wrote "Got to Keep 'Em Movin' Along." The man is talented! _________________ Mike |
