Well for those of you that have been patiently waiting, the JERRY BYRD FAN CLUB has posted several more great recordings.

For those of you that have expressed great trepidation about whether you want to play 6,7,8,10, or 12 string steel guitar, I beg you to listen VERY CLOSELY to the second selection of the week. It's an early day Mercury record with Red Kirk doing the vocal work. Jerry is at what some of us olde timers believe, was some of the best material in his entire music career. Unless someone out there has more accurate information than I, this would appear to be Jerry playing his 6-string Rickenbacher. Just goes to show you. It's not HOW MANY STRINGS you have, but whether you know how to play them....with style.

Listen closely and see if you can HEAR how Jerry's A7th portion is put into play in several places during his SOLO. Extraordinary work! See if you agree, okay?

THANKS for waiting. It's been an uphill struggle.
