I love my new Willy. It has great tone and Bill has done many outstanding improvements on his new 600 Series. Enjoy! Albert

Albert,

Real sharp and precise looking guitar! Bill is just great to deal with and he builds 'em to suit each customer in every detail.

I had a Williams keyless that had so much hardware in a limited space that it was hard to believe Bill was able to get all the changes I wanted into it.

Beautiful guitar, Albert. I like your choice of color and inlay material, and that is one beautiful hunk of wood on that front apron.
I have a similar 2007 Willy which I am enjoying very much. Bill is building some fine axes. Enjoy!

Hey Albert, if it sounds anything like it looks, you've got a sweet sounding guitar.
Are you coming up to Newport on the 21st ?
I sure did enjoy pickin' with you in Greenville last year.

Very nice.

Are all williams keyheads split? I really don't like that but I can see how it would help ease changing strings.

Thanks for all the responses. I sure enjoy playing this new guitar.

Doug, yes that was me playing at Carl Dixon's show in Atlanta. I was there at the second show also. Both years I was playing a Williams keyless guitar. I enjoyed those shows.

Delvin, the color is actually a red mahogany". I had him stain it just a bit darker for my guitar.

Greg, I know firsthand how much "stuff" Bill can put under those guitars. My last guitar, single 12 had 8 pedals and six knees on a keyless. It was amazing how Bill got all that under there.

Kenny, the pedal travel is a bit longer, but I am getting used to it now and I actually like it better. I also enjoy the tuning keys. They are the new Grovers with 18 to 1 ratio and are very accurate. Plus, I don't miss my little wrench.

Tony, I would love to come to Newport to be with you guys, but I will be in Minnesota doing a Hawaiian show and a Church concert that weekend. I hope to jam with you again soon.

A.J. yes the tuning head is split, but I like it better for changing strings like you said.

Blessings, Albert

Albert, is your Steel a S12WB or a S12DB? It sure looks great. I'm expecting to receive my S10WB early next week, also a 600 Series...the color is close to yours.

Albert,
About the inlay, I didn't see that one on the link Bill has on his site. Is that a special? Mighty sharp looking guitar...looks like I may have to talk to Bill in St. Louis this year. Glad to see the split tuners in the end on the neck, too. See ya soon.

Roger,
When I had Bill build me a couple of guitars, I picked out and furnished Bill the inlay I wanted.
Here is what I chose for one of the guitars:

Brad, my new guitar is a Wide-Body guitar (12-WB). I love it because it is not as big or heavy as a full double frame but the feel is that of a double neck. The leg stance is the exact same as that of a double neck guitar and makes for great playing the pedals.

Roger, I choose that inlay from the supplier that Bill uses. It is not a standard one as you can see. I hope to see you at Scotty's this year. Albert

Albert, Glad you like the S12-WB, I let Bill talk me into the S10-WB for the reasons you cited. With the leg stance being the same as the Double neck it will have the same stability with less weight. Another good idea from Bill. If I don't like it, I still have my D-10 Mullen which is great.

I have a Williams 400 Series, which has the same split keyhead. I don't see what difference it makes for changing strings? Why I don't like it is you can't put your bar on the strings above the nut, because it could slide off. Oh well...No biggie.
