Here's some ideas for some new sounds on the E9th tuning. Lowering the 9th string 1/2 tone and the 10th string a full tone opens up the door to a ton of new material. Here's some neat minor 7th and 6/9 chords (in fact the whole 6/9 chord you hear guitar players use all the time).

I should point out another thing I bumped into while playing this tab. The G#m7 is also available at the 2nd fret using just the A and B pedals!

Pick strings 7,5,4 and 3 with the A and B pedals engaged and you get the same exact set of notes shown at fret 7th leading off the tab above, a G#m7.
