Of what is available new on the market today, what would you guys recommend as the absolute best to load a custom 15 cab to use with one of Brad's Revelation Preamps. I have Rick Johnson shipping me a cab next week, and I'm looking for the best option for pure, traditional steel sound. I have dirty covered with my Holland, now looking for the best in a clean sound.

Thanks!

I believe that the 1501-4 ohm Peavey Black Widow makes absolute sense to me. Of course, I'm a bit bias concerning this subject. But, consider the price and the ease of repair(if at all necessary), the power handling and last but not least, a contact person at the factory should you need to speak to someone.

Thanks for the reply Mike. This is the speaker I had originally wanted, but a couple of guys had told me it was not available. Do I understand correctly from another post here that it's only available from certain suppliers or direct? I haven't been able to locate one online. Would love it if you (or anyone) could point me towards an online order source.

Thx!

Mike...you sure don't have to apologize for being bias...I am to...and i don't even work for peavey. I have two 1501 BW's that have earned me a ton of money over the years..and never..never given me a moments worth the sass...just a great product from the finest musical manufacturing company in the world. And it's the people like you mike that make it so. When they find me cold and clammy....they will be prying a peavey product out of my rigor mortus hand of some kind! Laughing

I really like the Weber ceramics, at least for lower powered amps. I've been using the 12 inch types, but haven't tried the 15s.

Speaking of Peavey, I have a Delta Blues on the bench with a nice howl I haven't found the source for yet Very Happy Seems like a nice amp though. This one has two 8 inch Peavey speakers in it

Larry - I'm using my Revelation Pre to drive 2 x 1501's in Peavey Nashville cabinets ..... the sound is unbelievably good mate !! They are the best choice in my opinion. I have one in my NV1000 as well of course.

The Postman can't be far away either :-}
