On Friday March 14th 2008 I'll be hosting the TSGA Non-Pedal Session along with Chuck Lettes and George Piburn.
It will be held in the Sports Lounge of the Sheraton Grand DFW from 10:00 AM til 4:00 PM .
We are fortunate to have Gerald Ross as house guitarist as well as featured artist.
It's a great lineup - in addition to Gerald, Chuck, George and myself,
we have Chris Kennison, Margie Mays, Dick Meis, Jeff Strouse, John Lang, Ivan Reddington, Lonnie Bennett
and special guest star - Herb Remington.
Admission is free - everyone is welcome - it's gonna be fun!
Watch for the ad for the TSGA newsletter. _________________

Sounds great Rick!......I have the feeling that this is gonna be one fantastic weekend......I missed the HSGA, and unfortunately, I'm missing the PSGA show as it's taking place right now, & I'm out of town....
I got A LOT of making up to do.........for better or worse.... |

wow....thanks George.....that was unexpected and very nice of you to say.......
My dedication and interest is a reflection of those who both attend and play.....this is a wonderful venue.......more like sitting in your living room and just having people come in and play for you....minus the pretzels & beer....
and George, you conducted a fantastic workshop after the non pedal sessions.....you're a natural teacher and make it easy to learn.....
also, the back up musicians make it well worthwhile....last year we had Gerald Ross, another excellent guitarist whose name I forget (sorry) and Steve Alcott (bass) of Western Caravan and the PSGA back up band sat in a bit....I never get tired of watching Steve on bass.....
I am so looking forward to this..... |

I'm also looking forward to this part of the Dallas show. Howard, the guitarist is Bill Dye, a friend of mine from our Nebraska days. He also plays some great non-pedal in the style of the l940s swing players. I like the idea of a small band with just strings: guitars and bass. This year's show is looking fine!

Hey Rick:
I will be there for sure. I played for years without pedal and I still love that sound..
