My good friends The Brother Frantzich, who I've played with for many years now, have invited me to join them on their appearance on the Keillor show this Saturday, November 17. Feets don't fail me now!!
This will be the first time for the lot of us. We're excited, to say the least! Wish us luck.

I'm used to long days. My usual Saturday gig goes from 10 a.m. (when I leave home) to 11:30 p.m. (when I get back) I'm prepared! Chris, who do or did you work with?

Congrats Joe. That sounds like a really exciting gig. You have earned it. I've been playing most weekends but have this Saturday night off so for sure I'll tune in. Keep up the great and inspiring work.

Hi Joe, I watch you every Sat Nite on Midwest Country. You and Leroy really carry the shows. I know that the show is prerecorded. What form of music do you read on the shows, notes, tabs, numbers, or all? It appears you are a music graduate of some degree.

Fred- Oh....those knuckleheads!!!! Just kidding. I like those guys.
James- None of us read. We do number charts. I learned from tab, some lessons and listening. No schooling.
Roger- How was Medora this year?

Thanks to all for the good wishes.

So I'm sitting at my home here in Nashville and listening to the radio on a rare Saturday night free, when all of the sudden, the radio host says "Heres' so and so with Joe Savage on the pedal steel. That's right, I was listening to" A Prarie Home Companion Show".

Joe you sounded "AWESOME". Great touch and tone and your playing fit the songs perfectly. I really like the Gopsel song "Come Thou Fount". I am jealous that you are so good, ha, ha. Hope you do well at the Country Christmas Show this year in the Minnesota. I hear you are doing 20 shows this year. Is that right? Wow. Please say hello that really cute fiddle player if she is there this year. I miss playing with you. God bless, Albert

Joe, you sounded fantastic live in the Theatre too!
An hour before the show I went down to the State Theatre and got a rush seat, first row with great view and sound right off the stage. You played so tastefully with the Frantzich brothers and on the jamming with the house band. Your C6 on the intermission song was killer as well.

Thanks Bill. What a great time. I wonder if "Deep Water" was on air? Great luck for you getting such a cool seat.
Bob, thanks bro..... I was playing my Zumsteel yesterday. I'll have to listen to the archived show one of these days.

re: Deep Water----No--You could hear Deep Water just as they went off to local station break. Frustrating in as much as I figured you would have some fun with that and I wanted to hear. But again, great job. You weren't shy and they (the sound people) weren't afraid of you. Loud & clear and tasteful.
