I have been living in Edinburgh Scotland for a little over a month now, and These folks love the old country!! They have some great country bands, and recording artists that still record the old songs, with plenty of steel!! I met a Scottish lassie from here, and fell in love. She has a classic country collection that is amazing!!! Anyway,I'm doing some singing, and I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been on the forum for awhile as my comp is in transit across the briny blue! Using Jan's laptop. Leigh

Leigh , welcome to the home of country music ! I really think it all started here .If you listen to the old Scottish airs you must recognise where the American country came from. Of course there were influences in the states that made your stuff what it is .... especially African... and Irish . I think if a lot of your American musicians came here to investigate your roots, you would get an eye opener .

Leigh,
Welcome to Scotland.
I Live in Glasgow which is about 50-60 miles from the capital,I am not too familiar with the country scene in Edinburgh but I do know that the "Tucson"club meet evey Monday evening in a Masonic Hall which is about halfway down Leith walk.
They have some good bands.
Incidentally I will be there with "Nickles&Dimes" next Monday
Best regards
Billy

Gentleman,When you run into leigh please say Hi from me..Also if you have a chance to get him up on your stage you will be rewarded with one of the purest Country voices around. A while back he sent me a CD of some tracks I had sent him and I found it to be the Leigh I had known for many years..A great cut and a Voice that imitates no one. He's just timeless....Maybe on our trip to Ireland next march I will be able to look him up....
