Topic: Want picture of Hank Thompson band with twin steels |

Does anyone have a picture or know of a source of the Hank Thompson and the Brazos Valley Boys with Bob White and Pee-Wee Whitewing on twin steels from the mid 50's? Hank and his great western swing band greatly influenced my steel playing during my growing up in western Oklahoma.

Thanks for all the offers of help. Let me narrow the search: I am ONLY interested in the picture of Hank and his Brazos Valley Boys taken in the mid 50's, probably 55 to 57 when Hank had a regular TV show on WKY-TV in Oklahoma City, the sponsor was the 'Big Red Shindig' (a furniture warehouse in OKC).
These picures were sold at Hank's dances and used to advertise his appearances.

Top photo
Bottom row: Billy Gray (guitar/bandleader), Hank, Jim Halsey (manager), Amos Hedrick (fiddle)
2nd row: Billy Stewart (bass), Pee Wee Whitewing (steel), Kermit Baca (drums)
3rd row: Bobby White (steel), Bob White (fiddle), Gil Baca (piano), Dubert Dobson (trumpet).
The only surviving members of this band are Pee Wee, and Gil Baca, both good friends of mine. Incidentally, Gil pronounces his last name (BAH-cha), which is the Czech pronunciation, not the Spanish (BAH-KAH).
Bottom color photo, left to right:
Curly Lewis, fiddle; Keith Coleman, fiddle; Hank; Hugo Chambers, drums; Curtis Potter, bass guitar; Bert Rivera, steel. This band was from the 1966-67 era.
The first time I saw Hank in person was with this band. Bert, Curtis, and Hugo are still with us. Hugo handles security at the TSGA Jamboree, Bert performs every year there, and Curtis attends frequently and sings.

I am the proud owner of Pee Wee Whitewing's first triple neck Bigsby-It is the one that he played on all of the hit tunes with Hank except "Six Pack To Go" (which Pee Wee played on his second Bigsby) It is my "most prized" possession and if my house was burning I would be carrying IT out from the inferno-if nothing else  I got it from Good 'Ol Bobbe Seymour and before it was mine he loaned it out to be used on the cool music video by Eddie Rabbitt of His tune "On Second Thought" (You can view it on YouTube)there is a great steel break on this classic shuffle that features the Late Ned Davis on the Bigsby-check it out! |

Herb, do you know which brand of steel guitar that Bert was playing in 1966--67?
I found a website for CMT. They are advertising a BEAR RECORDS Hank Thompson CD set:(12 CDs with 330 songs)It was available in January 1996. The CD set is not available at this time.

Paul, with all due respect. Ned is in the video only. Paul Franklin is playing the track you hear on the video.
