I believe that Goodrich has switched over to the Canadian ones and they should have them in stock at the Dallas show.

It seems that Ohmite now uses the Canadian ones made by PEC. I think Clarostat still uses the Mexican ones. I think there are still federal laws that severely restrict the importation of the Canadian stuff. In Texas, you're more likely to find the Mexican variety, though still restricted, it seems to find its way across our borders in higher quantities. But most agree that the Canadian variety is far superior in every way. The Mexican makes seem to have poor quality control and possibly some unwanted and unhealthy chemicals in the process of manufacture, thus the lesser product. The Canadian methods seem to be far cleaner and stick to much higher quality control standards to meet the demands of professionals and connoisseurs alike.

Yeah, the Canadian ones are better but they still don't last like the old USA Clarostats and Allen Bradleys. My advice is: Get a Hilton.

I believe Al Brisco in Toronto at Steel Guitars Canada would carry them or would know how to get them for you.

Just think of the poor guy who searches the "Net" for a potentiometer for his volume pedal and ends up in a Canadian pot forum. That could be a comedy routine ready to be written . . . . .
