Like most of us as we get older aches and pains start to come into our lives, I have now have reached this stage in life , after two one hour sets of playing the steel i find my fingers and other parts of are very painful mostly my joints.
Now to the question to the Swedish steel players, I worked for man from Sweden last year playing at his ranch here in Spain , he kept horses on the ranch, he was telling me that in sweden he had a horse that could hardly walk and they put it out in field to see out it's days , Then six months later the horse was seen running around like a two year old.
After they worked out what the horse was eating it turned out that he was eating a shrub that contained something that repaired the horses joints.
This is available in Sweden for humans but i did not get the name of the product, do any of you Swedish players know of this product as i sure a lot of us could use it..Thanks

While anything is possible, I have never heard of such a product for horses that is a natural shrub. People have sold everything from "special" magnets sewn into blankets, athletic wraps, etc. and shark cartliage (condroitan)and other products to help "repair" joint tissue or lubrication.
It is all snake oil in my opinion.
Race track veterinarians use artificial synovial fluid to inject the joints of horses with knee and ankle problems. It is like an oil change.
It is more likely the horse in question was eating something that was toxic prior to being turned out in the pasture.
Horses are allergic to many things .. black walnut trees, fox glove, mountain laurel, rhododenrums, to mention only a few.. if black walnut sawdust is in the bedding , it can make a horse lame and possibly kill it.
