Impending divorce induces me to let some of my babies go. I've never even played this one out as it's in such pristine condition, looks like the original owner never took it out of the case.
Gibson Console- Dual 8 string necks, Gorgeous creamy TV yellow or blonde over solid maple body. The raised necks look like plastic, but I think they're painted wood to match the raised Gibson Console logo on the front. All original, super clean electronics include 3 position neck switch, gold top hat knobs on volume and tone pots, with tone defeat and volume kill switches for the Speedy West licks. Twin humbucking pickups with two rows of poles, one adjustable, and amazing fat tone. The pot codes read 134640 and 134433, which makes them CentraLabs from 1954 and 1956. Adjustable legs with new appearing original white tips, even the case looks new with maybe one or two tiny scuffs and a bright pink lining. The only problems appear to be a finish crack around the end at the back neck peghead (visible in photo) and two small discolorations on the bottom from the rubber stoppers on the case leg latches touching the body. Otherwise this is the single most minty '50s steel I've owned or seen, absolutely immaculate collector condition. So help a guy pay his lawyer- $1295 plus shipping.

This is a truly beautiful guitar. It should be in a museum somewhere, there are none of these in this condition anywhere. Mark takes good care of his stuff and this is an excellent example of a great steel. |

That's one of the nicest D8 Gibsons I've ever seen. I have a friend who has a T8 in sunburst, but I like the looks of this one more.

Would you consider a trade? I've got three Melobars, two green, one brown (copper?) that will soon need a home. Still waiting for the little red jeep (USPS) to deliver the Bluestem. Hopefully today's the day.

Sometimes it's easier to sell three items for a little bit each than one item for a big bit.

Thanks, Jude, but I've already tried to pay my lawyer in Melobars and he's not going for it. Dang Lawyers. |

OK, how about if I sell the Melobars and then send you money? Or perhaps you should find a lawyer that steels.

I like it and if someone would take three Melobars off my hands I'd buy it. Of course you'd have to ship Priority mail.
