Chuck has the ability to hear the steel guitar in songs that one normally doesn't associate with the steel guitar. Here he beautifully plays the 1964 hit by Gerry And The Pacemakers on his Ricky Frypan.

Beautiful job Chuck!

Brilliant rendition Chuck!
I used to sing that song back in 1965 - I always loved it.
I even saw the movie a few times . .

Thanks for the nice comments about my arrangement of "Ferry Cross the Mersey." Like many Baby Boomers, I love the sounds of the l960s, especially the British Invasion. For my lap steel tuning, I'm using a modified C6th, similar to the first 5 strings of my pedal steel's C6th neck:highest-GECAGF-lowest. Having the low F really opens up some chord possibilities.

I am a beginner, but now after hearing several songs that you have done. If at some point I could just play 1/10 as good as you, I think I would be amazed. But being I just started out with a lap steel my mother gave me this week. I think it will take me severalyears just to play a few chords you play and for the music years!

But Im inspired by your playing
