No,not ill,as in sick,Ill. as in Illinois. I'll be workin' w/ my friend,Joe Diamond,at a Club called,"Bootleggers",Fri.,Sat.,& Sun.,Feb.16-17-& 18.
Hanover is located in the N.W. corner of Ill.,about halfway between Dubuque & Clinton,Ia. I'd like to invite any forumites,in the area,to come by & say,"howdy". BTW,Sunday is a matinee,(2-6 pm)
Hope to see someone, from the forum, there.

C'mon Illinois, y'all can do better than the Okies did last time Smiley played there. Smiley's a great picker and person and you'll get a real kick out of meeting and listening to him!

Oh Smiley, I thought I was gonna see you this weekend, but I realized that you weren't saying Hanover PARK, IL, which is very close to where I live. Oh well, hope your shows go well.

Turn it up really loud so I can hear you in the western burbs of Chicago!!

And Hanover will never be the same after a visit from the Internationally famous Smiley Roberts! By the way, it's closer for me to drive to Nashburg to see Smiley than it would be for me to drive to Hanover, wherever the hell Hanover is.

Smiley, a word of caution. The farther north you go, the worse the "ROAD RAGE" gets!

Well, for one thing, you will not get lost
in Hanover. Let us know how it is. That is
a small town. Interesting.

Well.....so much for Hanover,Il. Zip,zilch, zug,ZERO!! (which it was below, the whole time we were there!) All I did was freeze my butt off,up there! About half way up there,it all came back to me,why I got off the road. Then,we're gettin' ready to leave the motel Sunday night,& we get stuck in the snow. While we're waitin' for the tow truck,we run outta gas. That means no heat in the motor home. Think I'll just stay in Nashville, from now on.

Well Smiley, did any of the Forumites come to see you or did you get the "cold" shoulder like you did in Oklahoma?

BINGO! Give the man a cigar. I got more than a cold shoulder,up there. The temp. was "plenty below zero",most of the time. I guess I ain't as "world-famous" as I thought.
