does anyone know which dobro tunings were favored by buddy emmons, james burton and rusty young? i've heard them do cool stuff but not necessarily traditional G tuning sounding. |

ok...so i'm guessing you hawaiians, bluegrassers and old western swingers don't know anything about country, rock, country rock players due to your dedication to your purist cult affiliations....well god bless...i love your stuff too! |

This is the first time I've seen this message. I'm really surprised that it was posted on last Friday, because I certainly didn't see it before now.
Anyway, I'd guess open D (or open E) would be the alternative tuning that these guys would have used if they weren't using open G. Without knowing which particular songs you're talking about, it's hard to say for sure. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel
