Saw Janie on the RFD Channel last night (Fri), a great one hour show with a very tight band. The steel/guitar player was very good on both instruments. Anyone know who he is? Also the keyboard and the bass player?

The last time I attended a Janie Fricke concert, her steel player was playing a 12 string Emmons p/p. I talked to him after the show and the guitar he was playing was once pictured here on the Forum. At that time it was done up in plaid mica. Then it was redone in basic black.

It was indeed Billy. Bass was John Laird and keys was Glen Rodgers. All great guys and players. I've spent a lot of time with them over the years.

The Emmons you mentioned was mine. It was originally a basket weave finish, but I had Mike Cass restore it, as well as remove the basket weave replacing it with black mica.

Danny,
I got to thinking about it after I made the posting and remembered that it used to be basket weave. You did a show with Janie Fricke along with Rex Allen Jr. at Grove City, Minnesota a couple of years ago. I really enjoyed talking to you after the show.

Hey Ya'll,

Yes, it was me on that episode in Branson, MO. Thanks for the kind words ya'll.

I have spent a lot of time with both BOO MILLER and Danny Naccarato. GREAT guys and great Players. I have stolen a few licks from both. Thanks guys.

Just finished up three tracks in the studio last night for Janie Fricke. She is doing a new album and I'm proud to play guitar and steel on it.

We have one more gig this year in Waxahachie, TX on NOV. 3rd. Then off till later in January.

If any of you are around that area...come out and see the show and say "hey".

Billy
