Chas,
I was wondering if you had the D11 the Hank Eldridge and Bernie had at one time. I'm trying to get a picture of it and the keyhead for my friend. Any help would be appreciated,

Dan

Dan, as fate would have it, I have that D-11 and the wraparound that belonged to Bill Echols. This is a not so good old photo that I took, back when I first got it. I'll set it up and take some more for you.
cheers.

Chas,
Thanks, I would very much appreciate it. Hank was walking down memory lane and I thought I'd at least get him a copy of it.

Hold on to this baby, I have confirmed there were only 4 of these ever made.

Thanks again, and I'd appreciate a shot of the keyhead my buddy was commenting on how cool and different it was,

Dan

Dan, here's a few more. The guitar has a lot of mileage on it and I played it out for a couple years. The string spacing is narrow, and at the nut, it's very narrow. I never really got used to it, it requires a precise player and all in all, I'm pretty sloppy.

Bobby Garret had one of these, and this one might have been it. The wraparound has a "friendlier" string spacing and at the moment, I have it apart. It got pimped, somewhere along the line after Bill checked out, and I'm planning on a simple restoration to where I can play it on a regular basis.

Best wishes to Hank -- chas

Chas-I knew you had this one-what is the serial number?-I am curious that the guitar appears to have a large decal logo on the front(like 60's model) yet it has the slimmer old style pedals like a guitar from the mid to late 70's-Looks they used 12 string keyheads and 10 string necks (hense the close string spacing)

Chas,
Thanks so much, I know Hank will be glad to have these. If you ever decide to sell this one for whatever reason let me know, I'd like to have it for a collectors piece. Nevertheless, thank you for taking the time to share a little history,

Dan (BMI)

Paul, the serial # is 1398 D.

The wraparound was made Feb '65 and the serial # on it is 2188, go figure.

Sorry I missed your call, a while back. I'm on spin cycle. -- cs

Paul & Chas,

Hank said to tell both of you hello. Chas, Hank said you were the one he sold the D11 too. I can tell you it sure made his day yesterday when I gave him a CD of the pictures of the Dll you posted. Hank's health has not been very good and he's been kind of down. Just mentioning you guy's names and stirring up memories from the past has put a smile on Hank's face.

Thanks both of you so much,

Dan
