Kaki King - lap steel looping

I recently went to a concert in Paris that a friend asked me to come along to. I had no idea who the artists were, and the headliner Kaki King was a great surprise. Some excellent music and a cool approach to the lap steel (I think).

I've got a friend, here in Portland, that toured with Kaki King and knows her well. He does similar looping arrangements, but with a guitar and a foot-controlled keyboard.
