I've got the night off here & think I'll rent a car & go hear some pickers--hopefully steel picker(s). Thanks.--Scott

Scott:

I am not playing nearby this week. I am driving west about 90 miles to play at the Spirit of Suwannee Park in Live Oak, FL, with "The Cowboy Orchestra".

I don't know of any live steel guitar in St. Augustine or Jacksonville this weekend - maybe someone who knows will chime in. Several clubs in St. Augustine usually have a band on weekends, and there are a couple of good steel players around St. Augustine.

On the northwest side of Jacksonville, there is a venue that has a band each Sat. night, Flamingo Lake RV Park. It is a neat venue; no smoking, no alcohol, and no admission charge. They are located right at I-295 and Lem Turner Blvd., just about 1,000 feet west of I-295.

It would be a bit of a drive from St. Augustine, so you might try to find something closer.

Thanks John. We're planning on dining at this waterfront place (where you can have your dog out on the patio) so I guess we'll want to pretty much stay in the area. Sorry we missed you.
