New mullen sd10 G2 Help
I need your opinions. I just ordered a sd10 G2 3 pedals 5 knees with emmons setup . Heres what I need help with. A couple buddies said I should get a fourth pedal put it as the A pedal with franklin change. A different buddy said I should not do the franklin but I should riase 1 lower 2 or somthing like that. maby I have it backwords. My other buddy said all I need is 3 floor and 4 knee that lloyd green gets buy with that and I should just learn the guitar with 3/4 What are your opinions???

If you are a beginner just start with 3&4. It will take you years to learn with them and they are far more essential than the Franklin pedal or other changes. . Your friends are correct. Lloyd Green does more with 3 knee levers than most can do with 6. Don't get caught up in gimmick pedals and knees at this point

It depends on what you like to play. The Franklin change is very cool although I dont have it on any of my guitars. I have used the same set-up for years and haven't changed. I would still go with the added pedal. If you dont like the change thats on it, you can always put something on there you do like!!! A Mullen guitar is VERY easy to make pedal/knee changes on. So order your set-up and then later you can customize it to suit your style and needs. If you want another knee lever in the future, the Mullen folks can fix you right up!! Enjoy that new G2!!!

Numerous player are putting the "Franklin pedal" in at the A position. I say...why not?...The other change I believe you are referring to is raising 1 (1 Step) and 2(1/2 step), lowering 6 (1 step). Now Del will probably suggest you split the changes...and I liked that idea too...it worked for Del. If you have a lever that lowers 6 a whole step, and you are using a split change to bring it back 1/2 step, the franklin pedal will be impeded by this and the 6 string will only lower 1/2 step...Which hey...is a cool change too...My 2 cents... The style of music I play is sothern gospel and classic country. Like the old rugged cross or he stopped loving her today by George.

Roger,
When I get a guitar, I usually get it with the extra pedal.
When you buy a guitar, you should always keep in mind that someday you might want to sell it.
It will be worth more at that time with the extra pedal.

It is usually more economical to have the factory install the "optional knee or pedal" than to post add the items. Price it both ways and find out.

Was that "S" factory-installed or was it installed after receipt of the instrument? Smile

Roger, you have a "Mullen" guitar NOT a Mullens guitar.. by the way I have 3 pedals & 5 Knee levers
and i am just now finding out how to use the 5th knee lever...all i can say is that i won't be needing another pedal or lever for years to come

Roger, since you have only been playing two years, you can put and "S" on Mullen, just don't leave it off "Emmons".

Your buddy,

Los Robertos (with an "S")
