He is the author of this poem: "The Steel Guitarist's Prayer."
Lord I pray that I may never
fail to use the right knee lever.
And while I'm pressing Pedal B
Guide my foot past A and C.
Help me remember whatever the key.
Is it pedal up or down of with the knee?
And give me the strength no matter how far
To carry my steel back to the car.
And may I ask as my final plea
That I don't break string number three. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I liked Ed. He helped me out several times and was always fair in any dealings I had with him. |

Ed was a very cool personable guy, he sent me parts for my Professional , told me to use the ones I needed, then send back the rest and only pay for the ones I needed. Not many left like that anymore !
I'm glad I crossed paths with Ed,. |

Ed and I tallked on the phone a few times. He didn't care for Email. He got some original Parts for my Sho-Bud Pro 1, and John Coop made me some new ones. Ed was a nice guy. He always seemd to be under pressure with his business. He told me he had Diabetes but I was shocked to hear that he died. Ed also had a museum of sorts at his place. I sent him about a 3 inch stack of old Country Hit Parade magazines and the like. Never did hear what he did with them. Sad to hear when he passed. |
