Someone who can build me a case for a harp? NO not a steel guitar, but a harp. I need one for a friend who travels by airplane and needs a custom made case for a harp. Anyone?

Appreciate any information you can offer.

Thank you. Edited PS Anyone know if Gary Preston can do this? and if so can anyone send me Gary's e mail address? Thank you again.

It might be a long shot, but the world of string in long beach deals with a lot of uncommon instruments http://www.worldofstrings.net/

John, the owner, is a highly renown double-bass luthier/tech, and deals a lot with orchestras, so he may know about this. They have had harps there in the past, I believe. Good luck!

Jody, I have some friends who play harp and I'll ask them for you. But tell me first if you know, is it a (large) concert harp, or a smaller Celtic Harp?

Glad to see you active here, pal,
Jimbeaux

Jody, besides World of Strings, locally I'd also try McCabe's. They have sources for that stuff. Also Shade Tree down in (I think) Mission Viejo is worth a call - talk to Margie there, she's th Orange County Harp guru.

Thank you. My question has been answered. It is the smaller celtic harp that a case is needed for. I will have my friend contact those people who offer their product.

Thank you, all of you

Jody.
