OK, we all know what a great repair tech Jim is, and what a great store he has, but Friday I finally (after knowing the guy for years) got a chance to hear Jim PLAY in a band.
I gotta tell you, I was impressed.
Because Jim is so well known as a repair guy, his prowess as a player has been somewhat overlooked, but he's really a fine player who can hold his own in any band, any where.
He could definitely show me a thing or two. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I fully agree. Jim is an excellent player. He has a great command of music theory also. He can improvise in an unfamiliar song like a champ. I have been a student of Jim's for a little over a year and a half. He has me playing at a level that I would have never even dreamed in this amount of time. |

Jim's band, The Steamers, is one of the coolest bands in this neighborhood!
Really unusual repetoir with Jim's great steel playing spicing it all up to perfection.
Jim is also an official California Ranger, my beachy left coast country shuffle band. Thanks for the lift Jim!!! |
