Does anyone out there know where I could get the tab for the tune Charmane? I just watched Terry Bethel play it on youtube about ten times and I sure would like to tackle it! Should only take me about a year to get it to where it's passable. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Robert,

Here it is on E6th 6 string non pedal.( Included in
my E6th. Lap Steel Course Tab & CD).
Link to MP3. It is easily transposed to E9 Pedal.

Hi Robert. Check this link....its Herby Wallace Productions. I purchased some tab from him back in 1985 and it was a C6th course with about 5 songs and one song was Charmaine. He might still have that course, its worth a try to check and see.http://www.herbywallace.com/pages/tabspecial.html

The BIAB tab above shows 3/4 timing. Has anyone ever heard it done in 3/4? It's always been 4/4 that I have heard and learned it. Was it originally written in 3/4?

Jerry,

I have old, old sheet music for Charmaine, and it was written as a waltz, but I've never heard it recorded or played in that meter either.

Very nice Roy. I guess we are never to old to learn something.

Beautiful job on that version of Charmaine Roy. I don't know if any of you have seen the movie "One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest" but I noticed that in the movie....that song was being played and it was the slow version.
