"Heartlands Hayride" LIVE radio and web simulcast Saturday 11-11-00 6pm EDT to 8pm EDT

Special Veterans Day Edition with tributes to those who have served.

"Heartlands Hayride" is a new locally (NJ near Princeton) produced LIVE 2 hour weekly show dedicated to entertainment with a "down home" flavour. The acts have been selected from auditioners from the surrounding New Jersey hills, and range from neophytes to relatively seasoned singers, story tellers, etc...

I am in the rotating pool of house band musicians for the show. This week Danny Newman's away and I am assuming band leader duties... such as they are. The majority of the acts are self accompanying this time round, but we do have a few band features.

I will be sharing the fills and solos behind many of the performers on Pedal ( ZumSteel U12) or non Pedal (this week probably the 6 string Silvertone lapsteel in G tuning and maybe my Reso) Steel Guitars.

Featured Steel Guitar instrumentals this week will likely be "It's a Grand Old Flag" ( shortly after 6 pm) & "San Antonio Rose" (shortly after 7 pm) . Or whatever comes out of the trick bag - any suggestions for a patriotic number appreciated
