This is a S10 Emmons with 6 pedals and 2 knee levers. It is black on the aprons and brown on top. This guitar is in very near mint condition. It appears to be all factory origional and shows very little, if any wear. It even has the blue case that is still in very good condition.
It is a satin finish mica fatback which I've been told is '67 but I'd rather think it is a '69 or '70.
A closet guitar like this is hard to find so I'm asking $2550 plus shipping.
If you think that's pretty high stop and think what one of these new assembly line guitars cost and wonder, wouldn't I rather have a near mint Emmons instead for nearly the same price? To me the choice is clear. This guitar is also a great investment that should only go up in value. Thanks....Bobby 615 824 4187

| Sorry I can't buy it Bobby D but I would be interested in knowing the serial # as it is the same as mine . Satin mica , fatback , split tail , originally 6&2 serial # 1243 S . The only difference I can see is mine came in a black case . |

The serial # is 1224. That should make it near the age of your guitar. What have you been told about the year of your guitar?

| I have not been told anything so I was interested to hear your thoughts . Mine was in very good condition as well and I was thinking that it was made before 1970 but that is just a guess . |

| I have an Emmons S10 with the serial number "1423 S". Mr. Lashley kindly offered the information that it was sold in December of 1975. It looks to me like yours might be from a few years earlier. Hope that helps. |

A fellow called me who was very generous with knowledge about Emmons push pulls. After asking a few questions he said this guitar is a '71.
If that is true, and he was very convincing, I guess I was right in suspecting that this guitar was a later model than 1967. But no matter, this is still a very slick guitar and a fatback.
If it were a D10 I guess the # 1224 would make it a '67 but obviously S10's have a different sequence.... Bobby |

| Brendan, #1243 was mine for a couple of years. I believe that it is from 71 or 72. Nice guitar, it had a silver Emmons logo instead of white. |

Folks,
My first "modern" pedal steel was an early 70's vintage Emmons S10 6p/2k. Just like the one Bobby is selling (except mine had walnut mica). Mine had absolutely killer tone and sustain. I'd be willing to bet Bobby's guitar has similar tone and sustain.
